Happy New Year: Welcome to Voice Power Blog

I want to stay in touch with you and share some thoughts, pass on some interesting Voice and Presentation Tips, and hope that you will share your thoughts, and interests with me.   First, to set the scene, we are located in Grey-Bruce, Ontario, promoted as Canada’s natural wonderland, about 2 hours north of Toronto. People come here to balance their lives with nature, adventure, and relaxation. Whatever, the season there is something for everyone. Our business office with studio is located in Hanover, Ontario. Presently I'm using this winter break working on my 2011 schedule to visit and receive upcoming booked clients; and creating my online syllabus for my students at Georgian College for their first class with me in another week; and also re-stocking my hand-outs for a speech workshop for the end of January.  My husband, Craig, is off doing his radio shows in Owen Sound, and we both hope to be adding some new podcasts to this website, so stayed tuned for future updates on that. In getting started today, please let me know what your biggest TIP REQUEST would be, so I can offer a quick solution. Also, let me know how you use your voice as part of your business to earn an income, or if you want to learn how to do so; for example, do you want to know how to do voice overs, or how to train for acting auditions, or how to become a better speaker or presenter, and so forth. Here’s our first Quick Tip: to stay flexible before speaking I use this classic line and repeat it several times as I’m driving to my speaking engagement because it’s a quick warm-up and a great way to focus my mind all at once: Speak with the Lips, the Teeth, and the Tip of the Tongue!  Have a great 2011 - Happy New Year!
